DSG | Two winners get P31.7-M Jackpot from Super Lotto | MANILA – The PHP31.7 million big prize from Tuesday night’s Super Lotto 6/49 draw will be split between two lucky bettors.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Melquiades Robles, the general manager of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), said that the winners from Imus, Cavite, and Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu Ozamis City got the winning numbers of 12-05-01-30-09-14, which gave them a total jackpot prize of PHP31,725,228.
The winners can get their gift at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City by showing the winning ticket and two ID cards.
The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law says that anyone who wins more than PHP10,000 in the lottery has to pay a 20% tax on it.
If you don’t claim your prize within a year, you lose it.
82 other people won PHP50,000 each by guessing five of the six winning numbers. 2,409 people will get PHP1,200 each for getting four numbers right, and 30,144 people will be happy with PHP50 each for getting three numbers right.
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, someone wins the Super Lotto 6/49.
The PCSO also said that from August 7 to 11, it gave PHP35.8 million in medical help to 4,765 eligible people all over the country.
The state lottery office said in a statement that the money was given to the people who needed it through its Medical Access Programme (MAP).
715 poor people in the National Capital Region got help worth PHP8.3 million, 1,212 people in Northern and Central Luzon got help worth PHP8.1 million, and 1,447 people in the Southern Tagalog and Bicol Region got help worth PHP6.8 million.
In the Visayas, 1,091 people got medical aid worth PHP6.1 million, and 1,138 people in Mindanao got medical aid worth PHP6.3 million.
The MAP, which used to be called the Individual Medical Assistance Programme, gives poor Filipinos more medical help, especially for hospital stays, chemotherapy, dialysis, and medicines after a donation.
Robles asked the public to buy the agency’s games so that more money could be raised for health programmes, hospital services, and other national charities.
Through its required payments, the PCSO not only helps people who need medical help, but it also gives money to government agencies.(via PNA)
